CHRISTOPHER CARLISLE (Jon) is thrilled to be making his GableStage debut, reuniting him with
director Joseph Adler, who gave him his first professional acting job in 1996 at Hollywood Playhouse in
Cantorial. Some of his past South Florida appearances include Never the Sinner
with Paul Tei (New Theatre), Four Dogs and a Bone (Horizons Rep), Love's Fire
(Actor's Project), and Love! Valor! Compassion! (New Theatre). Christopher is also enjoying
the recent success of his first major film role in the independent feature Friends: First and
Foremost, which won the Long Island Film Festival award in 1999. Cheers to Robyn and the soon to
be released offspring.
MICHELLE RIU (Amy) most recently played Isabel in Pareca Blanca at the Spanish
Reperatory Theatre in New York City. Favorite roles include Renee in M. Butterfly, Polonius
in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Ilse in Spring's Awakening, and
Cassie in A Chorus Line. Originally from Miami, Michelle is a graduate of The American
University in Washington, D.C. Now a resident of Key Largo, she is trying her hand at playwriting and has
discovered that it is possible to like your day job. Michelle currently works with animals at the Theater
of the Sea in Islamorada. (Anything to stay close to the theatre!)
PAUL TEI (Vince) is happy to be back at GableStage where he was last seen in the Carbonell
nominated production of Popcorn. Other South Florida credits include Closer
(GableStage); Never the Sinner, alongside Christopher Carlisle (New Theatre);
Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Actor's Playhouse); Oleanna, Speed-the-Plow, Raised in
Captivity, Voir Dire, Passage Beirut, Careless Love, The Caretaker, Baby with the Bathwater,
True West (Area Stage); Endgame (Akropolis Acting Co.); Hard Hats (3rd Street Black
Box); Coitus (JuggerKnot) and Summer Shorts (City Theatre).
Since the close of Popcorn, Paul has been very busy with his own company, Mad Cat, at
which he produced, directed and co-wrote the first play, Helluva Halloween, performed at
the Miami Light Project. Paul holds an MFA in Directing from the Goodman School of Drama at DePaul
University, and a BA in Theatre from Barry University. He currently teaches several classes in theatre at
New World School of the Arts.
