JASON EDELSTEIN (Adam Baum) is estatic to be making his performance debut at GableStage, where he
was a Production Assistant last season on Closer and Side Man. Jason is 14 years
old and currently attends Coral Gables High School. He is the Director of "Lobotomy", the
school's improv/sketch comedy group and is also participating in multiple showcases. He would like to
thank Joe for this wonderful opportunity, his parents and family for their support, and all the great
people at GableStage.
DAVID KWIAT (Samuel Baum) was last seen at GableStage in Psychopathia Sexualis
(Carbonell Best Supporting Actor nomination). At New Theatre, David appeared in Angels in
America with Wayne LeGette (Carbonell Best Actor nomination), Moon for the Misbegotten, Three
Hotels, Molly Sweeney, Between East and West, Later Life and Love Letters. Last year
David was in the Actors' Playhouse production of Communicating Doors. David is a Professor in
the Theater Division at New World School of the Arts, where he was honored with an Endowed Teaching Chair.
As a founding member of New World Rep Company, David performed in Faith Healer (Carbonell
Best Actor Nomination), Marisol and Ur Faust. David was a resident company
member for ten seasons with Actors Theatre of St. Paul, where he acted in over fifty productions, including
Jerry in The Zoo Story, Treplev in The Seagull, Tessman in Heda Gabler,
and the title roles in Custer, Uncle Vanya and Scapin. He also performed
at the Guthrie Theater, Arizona Theater Company, Asolo State Theatre of Florida, Hollywood Boulevard
Theatre, 3rd Street Black Box, Illusion Theatre, Midwest Playlabs, New Classic Theatre and the
Minnesota Festival Theatre. David created the one-person show, John Barrymore: Confessions of
an Actor, which he has performed at the Edinburgh International Theatre Festival, The King's Head
Theatre in London and throughout the U.S. David's collection of poetry, Travelers in Residence,
was part of New Theatre's Miami Millenium Festival last year.
WAYNE LEGETTE (Garfield Hampson, Jr.) happily returns to GableStage, having performed in last
season's Arms and the Man. Wayne was previously directed by Mr. Adler in the independent
film, Liberty Brief, and the two-man British ghost-play, The Woman in Black
at New Theatre. He also
shared the stage with David Kwiat in the award-winning Angels in America. Wayne's most
recent credits include The Goodbye Girl at the Township and Over the River and
Through the Woods at the FL Rep. in Ft. Myers. This native of South Florida is perhaps best known
for his two-year tenure in Florida's longest running show I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change,
which earned him his fourth Carbonell nomination. Other notable work includes Rags
(Coconut Grove Playhouse and NJ's Paper Mill Playhouse), surviving the Taiwan earthquake while on an
international tour of West Side Story, The Rothchilds (Coconut Grove Playhouse),
Corpse! (Actors' Playhouse), and Stanley in Broadway Bound, for which garnered a
Carbonell Award for Best Supporting Actor. Wayne was classically trained by New York's National
Shakespeare Conservatory and happily lives with his fiancée, actress Stacy Schwartz and Chloe,
the fastest puppy on earth.
