  John Archie

JOHN ARCHIE (Grant Wiggins) is pleased to return to GableStage where he appeared as Malcolm X in a limited engagement of The Meeting, which toured Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Miami's historic Lyric Theatre. He is delighted to again collaborate with Joe Adler. John was last seen in the Caldwell Theatre production of Lobby Hero that earned him a Carbonell nomination. Other South Florida Credits include Sgt. Williams in Buffalo Soldiers, Willie in The Root, Val in Split Second (both directed by Joe), Cmdr. Stone in A Few Good Men, the Colonel in The Hasty Heart, Roger in Streamers and Blue in Ceremonies in Dark Old Men. Regional credits include Johnny in No Place to be Somebody, Theseus in A Midsummer's Night Dream, Willie in the Unseen Hand and Dr. Purgon in The Imaginary Invalid. John has many film and TV credits, including Garwood, Temptation, Chains of Gold, Spring Break, Miracle Child, Moon Over Miami, Wiseguy, The Crew, Lawless, The Catlins and several episodes of Miami Vice. John has been blessed to appear in TV commercials, industrial films, national print ads and radio spots. He made his orchestral debut last year narrating the story of John Henry with the New World Symphony. John thanks God, his family and friends for their continued support.


  Heath Kelts

HEATH KELTS (Sam Guidry) is honored to be part of yet another important piece of theatre at GableStage where his past performances include the roles of Freddy Malins in James Joyce's The Dead, Thomas Jefferson (and other roles) in Citizen Tom Paine and Max in The Real Thing. In addition to GableStage appearances, South Florida audiences may recognize Heath from his work at New Theatre, Area Stage, Juggerknot Theatre Company, Mad Cat and Magnum Opus. Heath has performed internationally in Romeo and Juliet at The Fifth Annual Latin American Theatre Festival in Argentina, Off-Broadway in Trojan Women, A Love Story, and regionally in theatres all over the country. His favorite credits include Proteus in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Longaville in Love's Labour's Lost, Sgt. Carlino in Wait Until Dark, Deeley in Old Times and the title character in Platonov. Mr. Kelts hold his MFA in Theatre from the University of Washington's Professional Actor Training Program and a BFA in Acting/Directing from Florida Atlantic University. Heath would like to thank this wonderful cast and crew for their understanding, insight and sacrifice in delivering the necessary message of this play.


  Sheaun McKinney

SHEAUN MCKINNEY (Jefferson) is currently a student of theatre at Miami-Dade Community College, where he has appeared in several productions, among which are: Spike Heels, Godspell, The Miser and The Hotel Baltimore. This is Sheaun's first professional production, and he dedicates his performance to his family, friends and the entire Theatre department at Miami-Dade Community College.


  Dorothy J. Morrison

DOROTHY J. MORRISON (Emma Glenn) is very excited to make her debut at GableStage. An actress for over 20 years, she did what every actor is warned against - she quit her day job of 27 years with the Department of Children and Families to live her dream of becoming a successful entertainer. Most recently, she was very well received in Proposals at Actors' Playhouse. Other stage appearances include Hair, Cole, Carnival, Showboat, Ain't Misbehavin', Nunsense, The Miracle Worker, Tintypes, A-My Name Is Alice, Don't Bother Me I Can't Cope, Horowitz and Mrs. Washington, The Little Foxes, The Colored Museum, Taking My Turn and Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery. Dorothy is the character voice of Jaime Foxx's mother in the movie Any Given Sunday, directed by Oliver Stone. Other TV and film credits include Miami Vice, Invasion USA, Charlie Hannah, Angel City, Let It Ride and Traces of Red, which was filmed here at the Biltmore. She is the lady in the cable-TV commercial announcing to the installer that he's ontime, and also the shopper in the FP&L commercial answering questions for Bob in the grocery store. Her latest commercial for the NY market is the lady at the reception desk for HIP Medicare. She is featured in print for Burdine's, Knox Nutra-Joint PCA and HIP Medicare. Dorothy is grateful to God and her "special angels" who keep vigilance over her, and she is honored to be working with such a highly talented cast.


  Clarence Thomas

CLARENCE THOMAS (Dr. Moses Ambrose) although appearing for the first time at GableStage, is no stranger to South Florida theatre audiences. He has appeared on stage at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in The Member of the Wedding, Ceremonies In Dark Old Men (which featured a youthful Denzel Washington), Oedipus Rex, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and To Kill A Mockingbird. Other South Florida venues at which Mr. Thomas has appeared include the Burt Reynolds Jupiter Theatre, The Stage Company of the Palm Beaches, The Stage Company of Miami, The Florida Repertory Theatre, The Caldwell Playhouse, The Royal Palm Dinner Theatre, The South of Broadway Theatre and The Ruth Foreman Theatre. His professional credits also include numerous feature films, television movies, prime time series and commercials. Clarence is delighted to return to the theatre stage after a too-long hiatus.


  Michael D. Vines

MICHAEL D. VINES (Paul Bonin) is very happy to be returning to GableStage for his third production under Joe's direction after performing in Citizen Tom Paine and the Carbonell-nominated Popcorn. Originally from Arkansas, Michael has been a South Florida resident for three years, and previously performed on stages in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida and New Hampshire. South Florida credits include: Action, Y2K, Mamet (Juggerknot); The Princess and the Pea, Anne of Green Gables, A Christmas Carol, as Alexander in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, Jungle Book (Actors' Playhouse); and Helluva Halloween, Shepherd's Pie, Here In My Car, Portrait (Curtain-Up "Best New Work" Award) for Mad Cat Theatre Company, for which is also the Associate Company Manager and an original company member. Much love goes out to his family and friends - Thanks for being there. Thanks for supporting theatre!


  Summer Wronge

SUMMER WRONGE (Vivian Baptiste) is honored and excited to be making her debut performance in Miami at GableStage, under the wonderful direction of Joseph Adler. Summer was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised right here in the heart of Miami. She received her BFA in Music Theatre from Shenandoah University in 2001. Summer won the NATS 2001 Award for Best Musical Theatre Woman's performance. She also has recorded the title track of Shenandoah University's C.D. of selections from the musical Take It Easy. Some of her credits include: The role of Sheila in A Chorus Line; the role of Timoune in Once On This Island; Helene in Sweet Charity; The Alto in All Night Strut; Anita in West Side Story; and Armelia in Ain't Misbehavin', to name a few. She is a Coral Park Sr. High graduate and had the honor of being their Homecoming Princess for three consecutive years and then their Homecoming Queen. Summer says: "Though the goal is Broadway, wherever the Lord leads I will go."
