PATTI GARDNER (Joan) is honored to be performing at GableStage under the direction of the incomparable Joseph Adler, and delighted to be sharing the stage (once again) with the wonderfully talented Gordon McConnell in this timely and touching play. Most recently Patti performed at The Cuillo Centre in West Palm Beach in the return engagement of Menopause, the Musical. Other recent credits include Abigail Adams in 1776, Maggie in 42nd Street (Curtain Up Award), Sheila in A Chorus Line and Leah in the four-month run of The Immigrant at Broward Stagedoor. Patti was also seen in Game Show, A Grand Night for Singing (Curtain Up Award) and The Sisters Rosensweig at The Hollywood Playhouse. But her favorite roles remain wife to husband Neal for 24 years, and Mom to twin daughters, Dana and Stephanie. Patti is enormously grateful for the opportunity to perform Anne Nelson's, The Guys and for the challenge to find the "hero" within us all.
GORDON McCONNELL (Nick) is over the moon to be making his acting debut at GablesStage. Since arriving from NYC fifteen years ago, Gordon has played to audiences all over South Florida, including Florida Stage, Actors' Playhouse, Caldwell Theatre, Florida Rep, American Stage and Broward Stage Door. He has taught at Burt Reynolds' Institute and Ballet Florida, and is currently the Coordinator for Teen Time Theatre at his own studio theatre in Wellington called TheatreWest. Before coming to Florida, Gordon was a member of The Mirror Repertory Theatre under the direction of John Strassburg and Sabra Jones. There he performed with F. Murry Abraham, Michael Moriarty and the late Geraldine Page, among other notable stage artists. Gordon lives in Lake Worth, with his loving wife Nancy Barnett and their amazing 7-year old, Hunter.
