Who's Who . . . in THE SHAPE OF THINGS

Return
  Laif Gilbertson

LAIF GILBERTSON (Phillip) is stoked to be onstage at GableStage and working with such a fun cast. Laif was last seen in Bump with Juggerknot Theatre Company. Other South Florida credits include Jon and Juan's Wedding, Urban Society Blues, and the companion pieces Sleeping Beauty or Coma and The Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. Look for him in the Credeaux Canvas at New Theatre in March. Laif is also a member of CircX, a performance troupe providing clubs and parties with roaming characters, extreme go-go's and red hot fire shows. Lastly, Laif would like to send love and blessings to his new bride. "I know we've met before, and may this time last forever." This play deals with the nature of art and, thereby, the nature of all things. Speak your mind. Speak your heart. Speak your soul. Only through contradiction can we define unity.

  Terrell Hardcastle

TERRELL HARDCASTLE (Adam) is very proud to be making his GableStage debut fresh from the critically successful run of Comic Potential at Actors' Playhouse. Terrell has performed at theatres all over the country. New York credits include Mary Tudor (Sanford Miesner Theatre) and Desperation City (Westbeth Theatre). Regional credits include Blood Brothers (Cumberland Theatre), The Winter's Tale (Indianapolis Shakespeare), and Billy Bishop Goes to War (Nettle Creek Theatre). In Florida, Terrell has appeared in The Heiress, The Diary of Anne Frank (both at Caldwell Theatre), The Living (Florida Stage), Chicago (BRITT), as well as Beau Jest (Broward Stage Door). He is the only man he knows who's performed at Caroline's Comedy Club and the Grand Ole Opry... in the same year. He received an honorable mention from the Carbonell Committee for his performance in Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down (Hollywood Boulevard Theatre) and received the Carbonell Award the following year for his performance of Riff in the Actors' Playhouse production of West Side Story. Terrell lives in Lake Worth with his wife, Christie, and two spoiled cats.

  Autumn Horne

AUTUMN L. HORNE (Jenny) is thrilled to be back at GableStage for her second production. She recently received an unexpected Carbonell nomination for her performance as Harriet in Boy Gets Girl (wish her luck). She has just completed her second tour with the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts STARS program, and is pleased to note J. Barry Lewis can now remember her name. Other fondly remembered South Florida appearances include Kafka in Words, Words, Words and the "Jess" Character in The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). She has also worked on several films, including There's Something About Mary, Out of Sight and Holy Man. When not acting, Autumn pursues her other "career" as a visual artist and photographer. Autumn would like to thank her family, especially her mother for the unerring support of her dreams, and J. for always having dinner ready when she gets home. Thank you!

  Claire Tyler

CLAIRE TYLER (Evelyn) is very proud and overjoyed to be making her fourth appearance at GableStage. Originally from the UK, she received her BFA in Drama from Florida International University in Miami. Now residing in New York, she is pursuing her career as an actress and creative artist. New York theatre credits include The Basset Table as Mrs. Alpiew (Here Arts Theatre), The Importance of Being Ernest as Cecily (Impact Theatre) Top Girls as Waitress/Kit/Shona (Instant Theatre), and We Won't Pay! We Won't Pay! as Narrator (Chekhov Theatre Ensemble). South Florida appearances include Comic Potential as JC F31 333 (Actors' Playhouse); The Play About the Baby as Girl, Popcorn as Scout, (nominated for a Carbonell for best supporting actress) and Arms and the Man as Raina (Gablestage). Other credits include Eliza (Pygmalion), Shirley (Fifth of July), Estelle (No Exit) and Woman (Let Us Go Out Into the Starry Night). Claire is thankful to her Director, Joseph Adler, for allowing her to delve into the questions concerning the state of Art in our society and what it means to be an artist. Thanks to a fantastic cast and crew!
