IAN HERSEY (Charlie and others) is thrilled to be making his debut in Miami at GableStage in such a fun play with such a talented cast, Director and crew. Ian trained at the NYSF Shakespeare and The Actors Center in NYC, where he studied with such notables as Lloyd Richards, Earle Gister, Ron Van Lieu and Michael Langham. He has played Romeo, Starveling the Tailor in Midsummer and The Duke in Measure for Measure. Other favorite theater roles include Muse in Geneva Cottrell: Waiting for the Dog to Die and Mr. Bones in Pipe a Courtroom Drama, both by Carl Hancock Rux. Film credits include: Out of Time, with Denzel Washington, the telenovela, Ocean Avenue and several national commercials. Ian just completed a local SAG independent with S&Q Films, Eve's Dropping In. He is the recipient of a 1997 Fox Foundation Fellowship. Currently, Ian teaches Shakespeare and Musical Theater Performance at New World School of the Arts. Thanks to Joe, David, Margot and Daniel for their help and hard work, and also to Everett, Carl, Michael, Claudio and Susan Finch for their influence on his health and happiness.
DAVID KWIAT (Frank, Wallace, Ed Hearn and others) is so happy to be returning to GableStage that he's singing and dancing. David was a resident company member for ten seasons with Actors Theatre of St. Paul, where he acted in over 50 productions.
MARGOT MORELAND (Jo, Mae) is thrilled to be making her GableStage debut with this exceptional Director, show and cast. Last seen at the Broward Center as the sex-crazed disciplinarian, Delilah Strict, in Zombie Prom and as the reincarnation of Mary Todd Lincoln in the reading Lincoln Tunnel, Mae West seemed the obvious next step. Some of her favorite recognizable roles have been in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Carbonell nomination), Shear Madness (in Florida and DC), Gypsy (Parker Playhouse), Summer Shorts and Winter Shorts (nomination), Ruthless! (Carbonell Award) and Fiddler on the Roof (nomination). Her television and film credits include Cape Fear, America's Most Wanted, B.L. Stryker, Chapter Zero, The Keys and Meet the Patersons. Margot is proud to have been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami and The Acting Studio, as well as an elected Councilor for Actors' Equity Association. Margot wishes to thank all those involved in getting her here, especially Joe, Daniel and the "Venice" of movie stars; her wit, sexuality, strength and attitude continue to inspire from beyond.
