  Howard Elfman

HOWARD ELFMAN (Mr. Dussel) is delighted to join GableStage for this production. Most recently he appeared as Mr. Cobb in a critically acclaimed production of Cobb at The Interplayers ensemble in Spokane, Washington. Just prior to that, Mr. Elfman, a transplanted Chicagoan now living in Ft. Lauderdale, enjoyed playing Boolie in Driving Miss Daisy at the DramaWorks Theatre in W. Palm Beach. A versatile actor, he has appeared in many top-rated theatres across the country. Among his favorite roles are Herman Lewis in Mixed Emotions, Flo Ziegfield in Funny Girl, and Henry Ford in Camping With Henry And Tom. He appeared at Actors' Playhouse in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and in the successful tour of The Education of H*Y*M*A*N K*A*P*L*A*N (with Bruce Adler). Other stage credits include The Sisters Rosenzweig, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Broadway Bound, and the original production of The Grapes of Wrath with Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Film and TV credits include Each Time I Kill, Raw Deal, A Day in the Country, Rent-a-Cop, The Untouchables and Aaron Spelling's Safe Harbor.

  Peter Haig

PETER HAIG (Otto Frank) has worked under Joe Adler's direction five times, the last being Nixon's Nixon last summer. Since then he has enjoyed roles in Comic Potential at Actors' Playhouse, The Deadly Game at Palm Beach Drama-Works, and Ocean Avenue, the telenovela shot locally for foreign distribution. After spending a decade as a young actor in New York, and another decade as a student, teacher and director in Wilmington, NC, Peter moved to Florida to join our regional acting pool in 1981. Recently, he has been appearing in classrooms as William Shakespeare and at concert venues as Albert Einstein, hosting student concerts of the Florida Philharmonic.

  Marc W. Kircher

MARC W. KIRCHER (Peter Van Daan) is proud to be making his GableStage debut in The Diary of Anne Frank. Marc graduated from Marian College in Indianapolis, IN with a BA in Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance. One of his favorite performances at Marian College was that of Jesus in Godspell. While still in college, he started his professional career as Valere in Shakespeare & More's production of The Miser. Since returning from Indiana in the summer of 2002, Marc has been fortunate to find continuous work doing children's theatre at Actors' Playhouse. Most recently, he completed his third reprisal in the roles of Nick and Paul in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. At the start of 2003, he was seen as Joseph Buquet in Phantom at Hollywood Playhouse. Last year at Actor's Playhouse, he was also seen in the ensembles of The Sound of Music and King & I, where he was thrilled to perform in the Uncle Tom's Cabin ballet. Marc would like to thank Joseph Adler for giving him this great opportunity. A huge thanks to his friends who help guide and support him. And most importantly, he sends his love and gratitude to his parents, without whom none of this would have been possible.

  Sharon Kremen

SHARÓN KREMEN (Miep Gies) is thrilled to be making her third appearance at GableStage. She was previously seen here in Of Mice and Men and Psychopathia Sexualis. Most recently, Sharon appeared in Mosaic Theatre's critically acclaimed A Shayna Maidel as Lusia (Curtain-Up Award Nomination). Other credits include City Theatre's Summer Shorts 2000 (Carbonell Award for Best Ensemble) and Summer Shorts 2002, The Food Chain and Ferris Wheel with Florida Shakespeare Theater, Better Living at the Hollywood Boulevard Theater, and Never Swim Alone at the Hollywood Playhouse. Sharon would like to dedicate her performance to the memory of her cousin Danny Cohen and her uncle Danny Teichler, who gave their lives so that other Jews would never again have to suffer the indignities and horrors that the Frank family suffered.

  Jennifer Lehr

JENNIFER LEHR (Anne Frank) is a graduate from New World School of the Arts college and the University of Florida. She is thrilled to be back at GableStage where she made her debut as Velvet in Popcorn and then went on to play Debbie in The Real Thing. Besides working at GableStage, she is also an original member of Mad Cat Theater Company where she performed in Hellava Halloween, Shepards Pie and most recently, Retch. Some of her past and favorite roles include Anya in The Cherry Orchard, Scout in To Kill A Mockingbird, Lucentio in The Taming Of The Shrew, the Old Woman and Little Girl in The Vagina Monologues and her original, one person show, Quiet on the Set. Along with trying to be a full-time actress, Jennifer is also a Miami-Dade County Public School teacher. She would like to thank Joe Adler for the greatest opportunity - to play one of the most extraordinary people who ever lived. Thanks and love also to Bonnie, Meredith and Todd!

  Sally Levin

SALLY LEVIN (Edith Frank) is thrilled to be making her debut at GableStage and to be working once again with Joe Adler, having worked together in 1995 on Larry Kramer's The Destiny of Me at the Hollywood Playhouse. Sally has performed throughout Florida for almost 40 years, receiving Carbonell nominations for Best Actress for her work in Ruth Forman's A Pack of Lies and New Theatre's Long Day's Journey into Night and The Waverly Gallery. During the past 12 years, she has been seen in Dance of Death, Painting Churches, The Cocktail Hour (New Theatre Best Actress Award for 1992), Isn't It Romantic, The Sisters Rosenzweig, The Book of Ruth and The Legacy, among many others. Sally won New Theatre's award for Sustained Artistic Achievement for 10 seasons of outstanding work on the stage. Many thanks to Joe for this experience, and so much love to my sweet and supportive husband and family.

  Jaime Libbert

JAIME LIBBERT (Margot Frank) was seen most recently portraying Nina in On The Boards' production of The Seagull. Other local credits include A Christmas Carol for the Curtain Call Playhouse, Down the Road at Lake Worth Playhouse and Florida Stage's Young Playwrights Festival 2003. Florida most recently saw her in world premieres of Open Season at Hollywood Playhouse, Black Sheep at Florida Stage and Out of Season at Caldwell Theatre (Curtain-Up Award for Best Actress).   Kevin Reilley

KEVIN REILLEY (Mr. Kraler) is pleased to make The Diary of Anne Frank his third appearance at GableStage under the direction of Joe Adler. He was last seen in Broward Stage Door's Parade in which, ironically, he had the dubious distinction of persecuting the American Jew, Leo Frank. Prior to that, his most recent appearances in South Florida were in Stage Door's The Nerd, West Boca Theatre's Nuts and Mad Cat Theatre's Portrait, for which he was honored with a Curtain-Up Supporting Actor Award. Kevin may also be remembered for his appearances at GableStage in Sideman and Citizen Tom Paine. The remainder of his work in South Florida includes among his favorites, roles he portrayed in Park Your Car in Harvard Yard, That Championship Season, Reckless, All About Eve and The Fantasticks. Kevin studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse and at the National Shakespeare Company Conservatory.

  George Schiavone

GEORGE SCHIAVONE (Mr. Van Daan) is happy to be back working with Joe Adler at GableStage. He is a veteran of four other GableStage productions, most recently in the role of Marcus Gordon in Rob Ackerman's Tabletop. He was Jonesy the junkie trombone player in Warren Light's Sideman, Aitkins the printer in Howard Fast's Citizen Tom Paine, and Les Kenkat, the porn czar in Rebecca Gilman's Boy Gets Girl. George recently completed 3 runs of one act plays at Edge Theatre this season; Deluxe Option and The Cupid Contract by Dennis Jones, Stories, Stories, Seaspray and Is Anybody There by Roger Martin, Shape Shifters by Jim Tommaney. George has done several stage readings this season, one of which is The Fist a new play by Misha Shulman performed at the Delray Theatre. He feels blessed to be working with some of South Florida's finest talent here at GableStage.
