DENNIS CARRIG (Malcolm Raphelson) is thrilled to be making his debut at GableStage. He just finished creating the role of Pudge in It's a Life, an original Christmas play developed and produced by The Sychronicity Theatre Group in NYC of which Dennis is a member. He portrayed Serebriekov in their crucially acclaimed production of Uncle Vanya. Some of Dennis' favorite roles from his many regional theatre credits are Roger in Proof, Henry II in The Lion in Winter, President Harding in Camping With Henry and Tom, Candy in Of Mice and Men and Frank in Educating Rita. Dennis played the recurring role of Ross Gordon on Another World, and had several featured roles on Guiding Light, Loving, All My Children, As The World Turns and One Life to Live. Dennis was also seen this past season on The Sopranos as Robert Harris, also an artist.
HEATH KELTS (Trevor Fabricant) is pleased to return to GableStage in Ten Unknowns with this talented cast, crew and staff. He has appeared Off-Broadway in Trojan Women A Love Story, regionally at Intiman Theatre, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Wayside Theatre, Foothill Theatre Company, Neighborhood Theatre Company and in South Florida at Actors' Playhouse, Area Stage, New Theatre, Shores Theatre, Juggerknot, and MadCat Theatre Company. GableStage audiences may recognize Heath from the Carbonell Award winners for Best Musical and Best Play as Freddy Malins in James Joyce's The Dead (Carbonell award for Best Ensemble) and Sheriff Guidry in A Lesson Before Dying. Most recently, Heath played Oskar Weiss in Times Like These at New Theatre, Yvan in "ART" at Neighborhood Theatre Company, and Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock's Last Case at Actors' Playhouse. Other favorite roles include Proteus in Two Gentlemen of Verona, Platonov in Platonov, the Man in Turn of the Screw, Jeep in Action and Roland Maule in Present Laughter. Mr. Kelts earned his MFA from the University of Washington's Professional Actor Training Program and is an Adjunct Professor at New World School of the Arts and Miami-Dade College. Audiences may also recognize him as the husband in a recent holiday spot for El Dorado furniture, the "Dad on vacation" at the Crowne Plaza in the Bahamas, or as the nerdy executive in the boardroom for Southwest Airlines, all airing on that little piece of furniture called television.
NICHOLAS RICHBERG (Judd Sturgess) is pleased to be making his GableStage debut. Last season, Nicholas appeared as Mickey in the critically acclaimed production of Blood Brothers at the Shores Performing Arts Theater, for which he earned Carbonell Award and Curtain Up Award Nominations, as well as a Curtain Up Award Nomination for Outstanding New Male Performer. Regional credits include Crimes of the Heart (Barnette), Shores Performing Arts Theater; A Shayna Maidel (Duvid), Mosaic Theatre; Free to Be...You and Me (William), Seaside Music Theater; The Nerd (Axel), Stage Door Theatre; and most recently, the new musical It's a Fabulous Life(Joe) directed by Robert Johanson at Teatro Avante. He serves as Assistant Director of the Shores Performing Arts Theater's production of Bat Boy: The Musical and of Mark Adamo's Little Women at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz, CA. Nicholas attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and is a graduate of the University of Miami. Thanks to PDK for listening and to Lisa for her patience and immutable love.
DEBORAH L. SHERMAN (Julia Bryant) is making her GableStage debut in Ten Unknowns. Some of her other S. Florida credits include Emilia in Othello, Olivia in Twelfth Night and Conchita in Anna In the Tropics (New Theatre), Ynez in The Just Assassins and Sister Mary Margaret in The Dreamer Who Unlocked the Secrets of the Universe (Dreamer's Theatre), Nora in Houseguest (Juggerknot Theatre), Lil in Last Summer at Bluefish Cove (Public Theatre) and Laura in The Glass Menagerie (Runner-up Best Actress, Miami Sun-Post, Theatre Illuminata). Deborah is a member of Laughing Gas Improv and The Big Apple Circus' Clown Care program at Miami Children's Hospital.
