BRUCE LINSER (Montag) was last seen at the Caldwell as the Bellhop in Lend Me A Tenor and as a company member in their Cole Porter revue. He also played Renoir in The Impressionists and Jack Chesney in Where's Charley? at the Caldwell this season, as well as Antony Wilding in last season's Enchanted April. Farther south, audiences will recognize him as Ernst Altsanger in The Diaries and Kyle Kalke in Touch (Bill Hindman Award recipient), both at New Theatre. He appeared as "The Barefoot Mailman" in the 2005 Travel Section of the Palm Beach Post and will again be featured as the "Go Guy", the super-hero mascot for the annual "Go Guide" for the Post in October. Bruce received a Carbonell nomination for his work in Berlin to Broadway at Palm Beach Dramaworks last season. He teaches 7th and 8th grade performing arts at Poinciana Day School in West Palm Beach, is the organist and choir director for First Congregational Church of Lake Worth, and is a proud member of Actors Equity. KATHRYN LEE JOHNSTON (Mildred) is proud to have been asked to perform in this adaptation of one of her favorite novels. She last appeared at GableStage as Agnes in Bug (Carbonell and CurtainUp Best Actress Nominations). South Florida audiences have seen Kathryn in the world premiere of The Impressionists at The Caldwell Theatre, as June in Madagascar at New Theatre and in Bat Boy: The Musical at The Shores. Most recently she was one of the Equity Artists in Residence at FAU where she served as dialect coach for Streetcar Named Desire and Oklahoma. Kathryn received her M.F.A. from The University of South Carolina and her B.A. from Indiana University. She appeared at The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C. in Twelfth Night, The School for Scandal, The Taming of the Shrew, and Henry IV, Parts I & II. Other theatre credits include: Two Rooms, Equus, The Cherry Orchard, Crimes of the Heart and Measure for Measure. Film/TV credits include: City of Ghosts, Spin City, Welcome to New York and Madigan Men. She is grateful to the inimitable Joseph Adler for this experience, and to her gorgeous family and ever-expanding group of Florida friends for their unbelievable support. KATHERINE AMADEO (Clarisse) is thrilled to be making her Gablestage debut. Other recent Florida credits include: Terminal Baggage, and Painted Alice (Mad Cat Theatre Company), House & Garden and The Sound of Music (Actors' Playhouse), Whose Life Is It Anyway (Inside Out Theatre Co.), Kuni-Leml (White-Willis Theatre). Katherine's proud to be working alongside husband, Antonio, and partner John Manzelli, on the 2007 opening of their theatre company, The Naked Stage. KEVIN REILLEY (Beatty) fondly embraces another opportunity to work with Joseph Adler at Gablestage after a string of treasured productions which include Sideman, Citizen Tom Paine, The Diary of Anne Frank, A Bad Friend and, most recently, The Pillowman. He may also be remembered from Mosaic Theatre's The Elephant Man, and Public Theatre's Barefoot Boy with Shoes On. Other favorite appearances in South Florida include roles he portrayed in Nuts, Parade, Park Your Car in Harvard Yard, All About Eve, That Championship Season, Reckless, The Fantasticks and London Suite. KAMESHIA DUNCAN (Alice, Book Person) is happy to be returning to GableStage and is ecstatic about bringing to life one of her favorite books on stage. Kameshia was last seen in September 10th (Ground Up and Rising) and Terminal Baggage (MadCat Theatre). Additional credits include City Theatre's Summer Shorts 2005 & 2006, Intimate Apparel (GableStage) A House With No Walls (Florida Stage - New Voices Project), Brooklyn Bridge (The Playground Theatre), as the Nurse in Hannah Free (Creative Arts Enterprise), Bourbon at the Border (M Ensemble Theatre), The Prince of Haiti/King of Paris (Florida Historical Performance Company - Workshop) and The Adventures of Louie the Lizzard (Coconut Grove Playhouse). She has also performed at several Regional Theatres, among which are Alliance Theatre Company, Seven Stages, Actors' Playhouse, Aurora Theatre, Horizon Theatre and Synchronicity Performance Group. Kameshia is a company member of Ground Up and Rising and is a recipient of the SunPost Best Actress-2006, and feels extremely blessed for the body of work she's done thus far.
HARRIET OSER (Mrs. Hudson, Book Person) is delighted to be in her first production at GableStage. Earlier this season, she appeared in The Full Monty at Actors' Playhouse and Whose Life Is It Anyway at the InsideOut Theatre. Harriet has appeared at Florida Stage and in several performances at The Caldwell, as well as two seasons with City Theatre's Summer Shorts. She has been nominated for Carbonells nine times, and is a recipient of the CurtainUp Award and New Theatre's Best Actress Award. Last year she appeared with Martha Gay Harden in the yet to be released film, Canvas. Harriet is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild.
GEORGE SCHIAVONE (Faber) is happy to be back at Gablestage working with Joseph Adler again and to be a part of this excellent cast. In case you are asking yourself where you have seen this guy before, George has done five previous shows at Gablestage over the years... Sideman, Citizen Tom Paine, Boy Gets Girl, Tabletop, The Diary of Anne Frank and Frozen - all under the talented guidance of Joseph Adler. He was also the Constable in Actors' Playhouse production of Fiddler On The Roof (directed by and starring David Arisco) and The Pharaoh in their production of AIDA. He has also appeared in three Madcat productions under the direction of Paul Tei: COPE, Betty's Summer Vacation and Terminal Baggage. Maybe you saw George in Boynton Beach Club, a locally shot movie with good actors about love and bereavement. Could be you just sat next to him at Denny's.
GREG SCHROEDER (Black, Paramedic, Book Person) returns to GableStage for his third production. Greg was previously seen in the roles of Carlson in Of Mice and Men and Napoleon in Citizen Tom Paine. Greg has worked with many South Florida theatres, including The Public Theatre, New Theatre and most recently, The Mosaic Theatre in their production of Amadeus. Before moving to Miami, Greg worked with both The Oregon and Alabama Shakespeare Festivals.
BECHIR SYLVAIN (Holden, Paramedic, Book Person) is the Founding Member and Vice President of the young theatre company, Ground Up and Rising. He started his career at Miami-Dade Community College, where he appeared as Mr. Anselm in The Miser, Jesus in Godspell, Howard in Picnic and many others. MDCC gave Bechir the drive to continue his studies in acting at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. There he appeared in many productions, among which were My Children! My Africa! (Thami). The Meeting (Malcolm X). He was last seen as Darius in Ground Up and Rising's first Original Play, September 10th. You may also remember him from Topdog Underdog as Lincoln and from his portrayal of George in Intimate Apparel at GableStage. Bechir is very excited to be working again at Gablestage with Joseph Adler and such a brilliant cast and crew. He dedicates all his hard work to his Father, and would like to thank his friends and teachers for all their support.
