ANTONIO AMADEO (Defendant) is thrilled to be back at Gablestage where he was previously seen as Katurian in last season's critically acclaimed production of The Pillowman and as Mr. Marks in Intimate Apparel. A proud member of Actors' Equity Association, Mr. Amadeo just completed a successful run of Red Light Winter at Mosaic Theatre. Recently, Antonio has played Dr. Scott in Inside Out Theatre's inaugural production of Whose Life is it Anyway?, was a member of the hard working ensemble in City Theatre's Summer Shorts 2005 & 2006, and portrayed John Merrick in Mosaic Theatre's The Elephant Man, for which he received his first Carbonell nomination. Antonio is the Producing Artistic Director of the Naked Stage, which he founded with his wife Katherine Amadeo and John Manzelli. MATTHEW GLASS (Bernard) is currently teaching Acting and Voice at The New World School of the Arts and Nova Southwestern University. He has worked at City Theatre, Madcat Theatre Company, The American Living Room Theatre Festival, NYC, Coffee Clutch Playwrighting Workshop, NYC, The New World Repertory, Miami Children's Theatre, The Rude Mechanicals, City Theatre, Area Stage Company, Alliance Theatre Lab, Acme Acting Company, Florida Shakespeare Festival, as well as being a founding member of The Akropolis Acting Company and The 3rd Street Black Box. He is a member of The American Dramatists Guild, Inc. and The Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.
JOE KIMBLE (Prosecutor) is very excited to return to GableStage where he last appeared in Tabletop. Joe was last seen in Florida Stage's production of Opus and in City Theatre's Summer Shorts 2006. Joe is a proud company member of the MadCat Theatre Company, where he has acted in several shows and where he works and plays with some of the hippest people in Miami. He has also appeared in South Florida at Mosaic Theatre, Actors' Playhouse, Juggerknot and Underdog. Joe would like to thank ALL his people (and they know who they are!) for the love and good vibes ... and Joseph Adler for letting me back in the door. Peace.
DAVID KWIAT (Judge) has been seen at GableStage in Retreat From Moscow, QED (Best Actor Carbonell Award), Dirty Blonde (Best Supporting Actor Carbonell Award) Adam Baum and the Jew Movie, Mindgame and Psychopathia Sexualis. At New Theatre, David has appeared in numerous productions including; Blind Date, A Town Like Irving, Smithereens, Angels in America, Moon for the Misbegotten and Molly Sweeney. At Actors' Playhouse David performed in Communicating Doors and in Comic Potential. He has also worked with City Theatre's Summer Shorts. David is the recipient of the Bill Hindman Award for Long-term Achievement as well as NewTimes Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. For the past eighteen years, David has been a Professor in the Theater Division at New World School of the Arts where he loves teaching and learns from his students every day.
BRANDON MORRIS (Bailiff) is happy to be back at GableStage working with Joseph Adler and this talented cast. He was last seen here as Cody in Neil Labute's This is How it Goes. Past favorites include Summer Shorts 2002-2005 (City Theater), Black Sheep (Florida Stage), The Boys Next Door (Palm Beach Dramaworks), Touch and A Day of Reckoning (New Theater) and Food Chain (Mosaic Theater). Television credits include Dexter, CSI Miami, South Beach and 3 episodes of America's Most Wanted. He will soon be appearing in Burn Notice, a pilot for the USA Network. Brandon graduated from New World School of the Arts where he received a B.F.A. in acting. He is a proud AEA and I.A.H.T.S.E. (local 500) union member. Thanks to Dianne, the cast and the crew.
BILL SCHWARTZ (Defense Attorney) was professionally active in the 1970s on stage, appearing in dinner theatre, at the Coconut Grove Playhouse and Vinette Carroll's Theatre in New York City. He also performed with Sarasota's Asolo Touring Theatre in a nine-month run which included the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Since returning to professional theatre in 2003, Bill has appeared in The Value of Names and Words of Mass Deception (Hollywood Playhouse), Wait and See, Clarance Darrow's Last Trial, Madagascar and Lincolnesque (New Theatre). Bill also tours South Florida Schools and appears on television with his one-person/six-puppet traveling ventriloquist show, Laugh and Learn.
PAUL TEI (Doctor) is very happy to be employed once again at GableStage where he last appeared in The Pillowman as Ariel. Previous shows include Popcorn (Carbonell award best actor), Tape, Tabletop, Citizen Tom Paine, The Real Thing, and Closer. Paul has worked as an actor, director and designer at City Theatre, Florida Stage, Mosaic (where he will appear in David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross in February), Actors' Playhouse, New Theatre, and many now defunct theatres. Paul is the artistic director of Mad Cat Theatre Company where he has directed, written, acted, designed and produced since 2000 when he founded the company. He has done several films, TV shows and numerous commercials and is a proud member of the Screen Actor's Guild. Paul received his MFA in directing from The Theatre School at De Paul University in Chicago.
