LISA MORGAN (Golda Meir) is delighted to be returning to Gablestage after appearing last season as Annie Wilkes in Misery, Alice in The Retreat From Moscow (Miami SunPost Best Actress 2005) and as Nancy in Frozen (Miami Herald Top Ten of 2004). She was nominated for the Carbonell Best Actress Award 2005 for all three roles and won the award for Frozen. Lisa also won the 2006 Carbonell Best Actress Award for her performance as Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at Palm Beach Dramaworks. Altogether she has garnered ten Carbonell Award nominations. Lisa was named Best Actress by the Broward Palm Beach New Times for her performance in The Memory of Water at Mosaic Theatre and Best Supporting Actress by the New Times for both 2003 and 2001. Apart from the above, favorite roles include Shirley in Shirley Valentine (Area Stage), Mrs. Warren in Mrs. Warrens Profession (Banyan Theater), Valerie in The Weir (New Theatre), Molly in Molly Sweeney (New Theatre), Izzie in House and Garden (Actors' Playhouse), The Wife in Blind Date (New Theatre), Mrs Hudson in Sherlock's Last Case (Actors' Playhouse), Rose in Enchanted April (Florida Rep), Mrs Darcy in One Flea Spare (New Theatre) and Timothea in Sea Marks (Area Stage). Lisa has worked extensively in the UK performing leading roles in many national tours and in London's West End. Later this season Lisa will be appearing in the World Premiere of Smut here at Gablestage. Lisa is a founding member of Inside Out Theatre Company and is a long time member of Actors Equity Association.
