The Lieutenant of Inishmore was first performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon, England, on April 11, 2001. It opened at the Atlantic Theatre Company, NYC on February 27, 2006 - and moved to the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway on May 3, 2006.
