EZRA JESSE BOOKMAN (PFC Evan Davis) is making his debut at GableStage. He is currently pursuing a BFA in Theater Studies at Southern Methodist University, where he received the prestigious Meadows Scholar Award. He last appeared as Laz in The House Theater Project's production of 3:59 A.M. Ezra recently graduated from the theater program at New World School of the Arts High School where he appeared as a seventy year old homeless man (Rimers of Eldritch), an aging alcoholic monk (Pippin), a crazed old wandering hermit (Conference of the Birds), and a blue jay (The Wedding). He thanks Joe for finally letting him play his age (and species) and his parents, to whom he owes everything plus everything.
PATTI GARDNER (Margaret Littlefield) is thrilled to return to GableStage since performing several years ago in The Guys. Most recently, Patti was seen at Actors' Playhouse in the World Premiere of Bombshells. She is a proud Carbonell Award recipient for her supporting role in Lips Together, Teeth Apart at Palm Beach Dramaworks, where she also performed in The Fourth Wall and The Price (Carbonell nomination). Regional credits include: The Elephant Man (Mosaic Theatre), String of Pearls (Florida Stage), The Immigrant and 1776 (Broward Stagedoor), The Kid From Brooklyn and Food Fight (Maltz Jupiter Theatre), True Blue (Women's Theatre Project), Ladies-and-Not So Gentle Women (New Theatre), Grand Night for Singing and The Sisters' Rosensweig (Hollywood Playhouse). Patti has performed the role of Soap Star in Menopause The Musical in over 20 cities across the country, but her favorite role remains wife to Neal of thirty years and Mom to her twin daughters, Dana and Stephanie.
REISS GASPARD (Captain Lee King) couldn't be more excited to be cast in GableStage's production of Defiance. This is Reiss's first appearance on this illustrious stage and hopes to someday work again with those that put the effort and hard work to make this production successful. Reiss would like to thank his cast mates for an unforgettable experience and for inducing a higher level of creativity. Special praises to the entire GableStage team for keeping us honest. To my Ground up and Rising family, here's to a thought provoking season and a Happy New Year. To my immediate family, thank you for your support and patience (God knows it's not easy.) PAUL HOMZA (Gunny Sgt.) is thrilled to be back on the GableStage. He was last seen here in The Lieutenant of Inishmore as the inverted James. He has also been seen this year in New Vista Theatre Company's Enter Laughing and I'm Not Rappaport. When not on stage Paul can probably be found working any number of technical positions at various area theatres such as Caldwell, Florida Stage, Actors' Playhouse, New Vista, GableStage, Palm Beach Dramaworks, and the Parker Playhouse. He is a proud member of AEA, SSDC, and The Society of American Fight Directors as a fight choreographer and stage combat instructor. Paul thanks Joe for this opportunity to perform right side up.
BILL SCHWARTZ (Lt. Colonel Morgan Littlefield) was professionally active on stage in the 1970s, appearing in dinner theatre, at the Coconut Grove Playhouse and Vinette Carroll's theatre in New York City. He also performed with Sarasota's Asolo Touring Theatre in a nine month run, which included the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Since returning to the professional theatre in 2003, Bill has appeared in The Value of Names and Words of Mass Deception (Hollywood Playhouse), Wait and See, Clarence Darrow's Last Trial, Madagascar, Lincolnesque, Likeness and The Gates of Truth (New Theatre) and Romance and Betrayed (GableStage). Bill is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. Thanks Joe!
PAUL TEI (Chaplain White) is super happy to be employed once again at GableStage with his great friend Joe Adler and an awesome bunch of people. Defiance marks Paul's tenth appearance at GableStage. Other shows here include Romance, The Pillow Man, Tabletop, Closer, Citizen Tom Paine, Tape, The Real Thing, Chinese Coffee and Popcorn (Carbonell Award). Paul has worked all over South Florida Theatres as an actor, director and designer ~ Actors' Playhouse, Florida Stage, Mosaic Theatre, New Theatre, City Theatre, Juggerknot, Area Stage, Naked Stage and at Mad Cat Theatre Company where he is the founder and Artistic Director. Paul has had the honor of directing for GableStage school tours productions of Hamlet, Timon of Athens, Faustus and Macbeth. He holds and MFA in directing from The Theatre School at De Paul University and is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild. Paul has appeared in over a dozen films, commercials and TV shows, and can be currently seen as Barry the money launderer on the USA show, Burn Notice.
