Avi HoffmanAVI HOFFMAN (Hersh Rasseyner) is thrilled to be back at GableStage working with Joe and Chaz on this very meaningful project. His other GableStage productions include Address Unknown, A Bad Friend and Frankie & Johnny In The Clair De Lune (opposite his talented wife Laura Turnbull). Avi is best known for his nationally acclaimed one man shows Too Jewish? and Too Jewish, Too! (Performer of the Year '95 - NY Press Magazine; L.A. OVATION award - Best Actor In a Musical 2001; NY Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle award nominations). On TV, both of his shows are currently being broadcast nationally on the PBS system. He was featured as Teddy Wayne in the NBC series Law and Order. Avi starred in the motion picture, The Imported Bridegroom and was seen in the PBS documentary They Came For Good: A History of the Jews in the US. Avi has performed all over the world and has numerous theater credits and multiple Carbonell and Curtain Up awards and nominations. He is very proud to be a member of AEA, SAG and SDC. He is father to two beautiful girls - Arielle and Liana. He dedicates this production to his father Mendl (z'l) who survived Auschwitz and his mother Miriam who dedicated her life to the preservation of Yiddish language and culture, especially the works of Chaim Grade. www.avihoffman.com


 

Chaz MenaCHAZ MENA (Chaim Kovler) New York: Flea Theatre, New Georges, INTAR, Young Playwrights, Spanish Repertory, PRTT. Regional: Cleveland Playhouse, Cincinnati Playhouse, Arena Stage, Centerstage, San Diego Rep, Laguna Playhouse, Eugene O'Neill Center, among many others. Many varied TV and Film appearances. Twice nominated for NY's ACE Award, Pennsylvania Critic's Awards, and is a Carbonell Award winner. Graduate of Barry University and earned an MFA in drama from Carnegie-Mellon University. Mark Della VenturaMARK DELLA VENTURA (Joshua) is thrilled to be making his GableStage debut! South Florida credits include: City Theatre's Short Cuts School Tour; In Development as Josh/Martin and Small Membership, an original one person show (New Theatre); Cannibal! The Musical as Ute 1/Townsperson (The Promethean Theatre). A recent BFA graduate from New World School of the Arts, his roles there included: Isidor Straus in Titanic, Remote Destination, an original one person show, Zeal-of-the-Land Busy in Bartholomew Fair and Jacques Roux in Marat/Sade.
