Dave Corey

DAVE COREY (Lennie) marks his return to the stage after a nine year absence with this production. His last time "on the boards" was his 1990 Carbonell nominated performance in Only Kidding at the Off Broadway Theatre in Wilton Manors. "I'm very particular about my stage work, but when Mr. Adler called me for this production, it was a no-brainer. I've only been waiting all my adult life to play Lennie!" Currently Dave can be seen on screen in the new Robert DeNiro/Billy Crystal comedy, Analyze This. He's also been featured in The Truman Show, Holy Man and Gone Fishin'. Recent television appearances include a recurring role as Warden Elroy White in Maximum Bob and as Bannak, the Grand Master of the Black Dragon family in Mortal Kombat: Conquest. Dave dedicated this performance to his wife, Jo-Ann and his son, Matt, who have "inspired me to be a gentle and loving child of God."


 Peter Paul De Leo

PETER PAUL DE LEO (George) has amassed numerous stage, film and television credits since he first arrived on the scene as a professional stage actor in 1987 with the acclaimed Acme Acting Company. Some of his Acme credits include: Balm in Gilead, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Tracers, Prelude to a Kiss, Cradle of Sparrows, Private Wars and All in the Timing. Other stage credits include performances at Area Stage in K2 and Brilliant Traces, for which he received a Carbonell nomination for best lead actor. He also performed in Florida Shakespeare productions of Strange Snow, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) and The Othello Project. In 1993, Peter was voted Best Local Actor by Miami's New Times Arts and Entertainment Magazine. Some of his film credits include The Holy Man, Palmetto, The Blackout and Blood and Wine. He has also appeared on TV in Walker - Texas Ranger, Seaquest, South Beach, Fortune Hunter, America's Most Wanted, Miami Vice and Sins of the City.


 Rex Benson

REX BENSON (Candy) is a forty-year show business veteran. He began his career working in coffee houses and jazz clubs as a stand-up comic in Chicago. He moved to California in 1964. Twenty years later, he had more than 300 productions in stage, films, television, radio, TV commercials, voice-overs, cartoons, writing, producing and directing under his belt. He appeared on the Tonight Show as one of the Mighty Carson Art Players, in The Waltons, The Archie Bunker Show, CHiPS, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless and nine episodes of Rockford Files. He did feature roles in movies with Peter O'Toole, Burt Reynolds, Pavarotti, Richard Dreyfuss, Roy Scheider and more. He wrote for CHiPS and was on Redd Foxx's writing staff for Sandford and Son for two years. His one-man show entitled Sitting on the Edge of Forever at the Orlando Fringe Festival opens in April.


 Keith Humphrey

KEITH HUMPHREY (Slim) is appearing for the first time at GableStage. He was last seen in Wait Until Dark at the Hollywood Playhouse. Prior to South Florida, Keith lived in Pittsburgh, where he was a constant performer. Some of Keith's favorite roles have been as Doug in Third Best Sport, David in Social Security and Jack in The Impossible Years. Keith is also an independent film producer with numerous projects in various stages of development. He resides in Pembroke Pines with his three children: Leah, Drew and Allison.


 Sharón Kremen

SHARÓN KREMEN (Curley's Wife) is thrilled to be returning to GableStage where you may remember her as Amanda in the Florida premiere of Nicky Silver's Food Chain and as Lisa Marie in Ferris Wheel by Janyce Lapore. Sharón was most recently seen as Mary Ann in Better Living at Hollywood Boulevard Theatre and as Cinderella and the Wicked Stepmother in Fantasy Theatre Factory's production of Cinderella. Before Sharón's move to Miami two years ago, she worked in New York, where some of her most memorable stage credits include Inez in No Exit and Bobbi Michelle in Last of the Red Hot Lovers. Sharón would like to dedicate this performance to her soul mate, Jose who is always "...somebody to talk to."


 David Laurence

DAVID LAURENCE (Curley) is thrilled about making his South Florida debut at GableStage. Recent credits include Mercutio in Romeo " Juliet at the New Hampshire Shakespeare Festival, Mr. Elephant in the first children's play at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Starhmburg in The Europeans at the British American Drama Academy in London. Mr. Laurence holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Brandeis University. David would like to thank his family and friends for their constant support and love.


 Larry Robinson

LARRY ROBINSON (Crooks) started working with repertory groups in New York City eighteen years ago. Most of his training has been through his experience with these groups. Larry has done some Off-Broadway theatre, a lot of Off-Off-Broadway theatre, and tons of community and children's theatre. He has held principle or leading roles in many films, including Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD, Night Orchid, Love and Fate, Deadly Surrender and Happy Hell Night. Larry has also performed at this theatre in last season's The Othello Project and with the comedy theatre groups, "Best Medicine" and "Punch 59."


 John Saracco

JOHN SARACCO (The Boss) is thrilled to be making his first appearance at GableStage. In 1995, after many years as a pianist in the music business, John began is professional acting career. Some of his credits include The Dresser, Conversations with My Father, Born Yesterday, Fool for Love and last season's production at the Hollywood Boulevard Theatre of Faithful.


 Kane Schirmer

KANE SCHIRMER (Whit) toured Europe for four years as a model, musician, dancer, actor and is no stranger to the stage. However, his career was put on hold when he broke his neck in a car accident in 1993. Vowing not to let this stop him, Kane pushed himself through two years of rehabilitation, then headed off to rebuild his career. He began appearing on the covers of romance novels until he was offered a role in ABC's daytime drama, All My Children. Soon after he was given the chance to fly through the air as the naive superhero, Lord Cummulus/David Carson in the Off-Broadway production of the cult classic, WARP. David has now returned to the warmth of Southern Florida and is focusing on his acting and writing.


 Greg Schroeder

GREG SCHROEDER (Carlson) has appeared at many local theatres, including more than a dozen productions with New Theatre in Coral Gables. Two of his favorite roles were Napolean in A Man of Destiny and Adolf Eichmann in The White Crow: Eichmann in Jerusalem. Greg has also worked with The Bridge Theatre on many productions, including the title role in The Man Who Became a Dog, which was directed by Joseph Adler for National Public Radio. For the past five years, Greg has appeared in many roles in the insanely popular interactive comedy, Murder at the Café Noir.
