JUDITH DELGADO (Diana Vreeland) is very pleased to be making her debut at GableStage with Full
Gallop, and to be working with Mr. Adler. Ms. Delgado was the 1998 Carbonell Winner for Best Actress for
her role as Frida Kahlo in the Coconut Grove Playhouse's Goodbye, My Friduchita. Her many
credits on the Coconut Grove Playhouse Stages include Amanda in the world premiere of Mama's Last
Waltz, and prior to that as Frankie in Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune. On
the Mainstage, Ms. Delgado was last seen as Carol in Woody Allen's Central Park West, Linda
Lavin's sister in Arthur Miller's Broken Glass, Sally in Lips Together, Teeth Apart,
Truvy in Steel Magnolias, Doris in the world premiere comedy Mixed Blessings,
and Bananas in The House of Blue Leaves with Liz Torres. Ms. Delgado was a founder and
principle actress for two nationally acclaimed theatres, The New York Free Theatre and The Whole Theatre
Company. With the former, she helped create and perform original, socially relevant dramas on the streets
of New York City. In her fourteen years with the Whole Theatre Company, she appeared in over twenty plays,
performing such roles as Charlotte Corday in Marat/Sade, Elena in Uncle Vanya
with Austin Pendelton and as Estragon in Waiting for Godot with Olympia Dukakis. Since 1985,
Ms. Delgado has been the Playhouse's Director of Education. In addition to her wonderful daughter, Justine
and partner John, Judith wishes to thank all the people who have continually supported her work at the
Coconut Grove Playhouse and at GableStage.
MIMI LUTZ (Yvonne) performed with a mime troupe in New York, where she also studied with Stella
Adler at The Acting Studio. She played the Architect in Ionesco's The Killer in a production
in Greenwich Village, and Chrissy in Tom Rabe's In the Boom Boom Room at NYU. Mimi has a
private practice in hypnotherapy in Miami and is an instructor for the Silva Method of Mind Development
and Stress Control. |
