LINDA BERNHARD (Catherine) is pleased to be working at GableStage, directed once again by Joe
Adler, in a play by George Bernard Shaw. How much better can it get! Other South Florida theatre credits
include Brighton Beach Memoirs as Kate, West Boca Theatre Company; Hay Fever,
as Myra (chosen Best Actress in a Comedy - New Times, Best of Miami) and Hope Zone
as Fern at the Hollywood Boulevard Theatre; Lillian as Lillian Hellman at the Caldwell
Theatre, Performing Artists Series and the Area Stage; Sisters Rosensweig as Dr. Gorgeous at
The Hollywood Playhouse; Social Security as Trudy and Made in Heaven as Rose at
Broward Stage Door; Macbeth as Lady Macbeth at The Public Theatre; Romeo and Juliet
as Lady Capulet at New River Shakespeare Festival; and Independence as Tess at the
New River Rep. Trained in New York, Linda performed in Off-Broadway productions, including appearances at
Carnegie Hall, Equity Library Theatre and Lincoln Center. Nationally, Linda has been seen and heard on
numerous commercials, and appeared on television and in film.
DAVID CIRONE (Selby Sullivan) is very happy to be working with Joseph Adler again at GableStage
after last season's Psychopathia Sexualis. A local theatre teacher and playwright, David has
appeared in several local theatre productions, including Bast on the Moon, Much Ado About Nothing,
and received a Carbonell nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Angels in
America, Parts 1 & 2.
JOEL KOLKER (Maj. Paul Potter) is overjoyed to be working here at GableStage with Joseph Adler.
Over the years, Joel has done commercials, industrial films and several plays with Mr. Adler, including
Glengarry Glen Ross as Ricky Roma, The Root as Jerry Rath, and Cold
Storage as Richard Landau. Joel's most recent performance was as Gilbert Bodley in Not
Now Darling at the Broward Stage Door Theatre. This show Joel would like to dedicate to Joanne
who has had the courage and fortitude to stay with him for the last 30 years.
WAYNE LeGETTE (Benchley) proudly makes his debut with GableStage, but has worked with Joseph
Adler before: in the Marine training film, Liberty Brief, and in the highly acclaimed
The Woman in Black at New Theatre. Mr. LeGette originated the role of Man #1 in the Miami production
of the longest running show in South Florida's history, I love You, You're Perfect, Now Change,
earning him a Carbonell nomination as Best Actor. Last season, he survived the Taiwan earthquake
playing Lt. Schrank in an international tour of West Side Story, and also played Nathan in
Rags at New Jersey's prestigious Paper Mill Playhouse and Miami's Coconut Grove Playhouse. Mr.
LeGette won a Carbonell award for his performance of Stanley in Broadway Bound at the Royal
Palm, and was nominated for Drood! & Angry Housewives at Actor's Playhouse, and for the
title role in the world premiere of Chaplin at the Shores. Other notable work includes the
twins in Corpse! (Actor's Playhouse), Nathan in The Rothchilds (Coconut Grove
Playhouse), Paul in Company, Sammy in Dark at the Top of the Stairs (Caldwell
Theatre), Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (Florida Stage), Enid in The Mystery of Irma Vep
(Florida Shakespeare), Max in Lend Me Tenor (Ring Theatre), Perry in Love!
Valour! Compassion!, and Joe in Angels in America (New Theatre). Mr LeGette was
classically trained by New York's National Shakespeare Conservatory.
DAWN K. SEWARD (Lucy) started her performing career at age three in dance in San Diego,
California. After graduating from New World School of the Arts in Miami, she traveled to Moscow to perform
in the International Jazz Festival. Dawn has been seen in Dream Girls as Deena Jones,
Bye-Bye Birdie as Ursula, Godspell as Peggy, Nine, the New World
Connection as a singer/dancer, Purlie as Missy, Ten Little Indians as Vera
Claythone, Pippin as Catherine, Something to Shout About, Blues in the Night
as the Girl. Miss Seward would like to thank God, Charlette Seward, Ellen Davis, John Pryor, and Paula
Wayne-Shelley.
KEVIN SPRINGS (Nicholas) a native of Chicago, relocated to Miami four years ago. Kevin has
studied film and theatre under various tutelages, and was educated at Columbia College in Chicago and the
Victory Gardens Theatre. Although relatively new to South Florida's theatre, he is looking forward to
exploring and thriving in this environment. Some of Kevin's film credits include Badboys, Heaven
is a Playground, The Killing Floor (PBS) and Story of a Gun. Theatre credits include
Purly Victorious at the Noyes Cultural Complex, Marks Lot at Victory Gardens
Theatre, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom at the Acorn Theatre and Of Mice and Men at
the Wilshire Theatre.
CLAIRE TYLER (Rowena) is graduating this summer with a BFA in acting from F.I.U. Recent roles
include Eliza in Pygmalion, Shirley in The Fifth of July, Estelle in
No Exit, Betty/Woman 1 in All in the Timing, and Woman in Let Us Go Out Into
the Starry Night. She has also performed the role of Portia in The Merchant of Venice
in Bedgeburry, Upper Kent, England.
ELAN ZAFIR (The Officer) is thrilled to be making his debut at GableStage after winning the
1999 Fringe Festival's "People's Choice" Award for writing Leaf in the Mailbox. He
performed with Theodore Bikel in The Disputation at the Coconut Grove Playhouse. After
spending the last few months in a production of Look Back in Anger in which he played the
role of Jimmy, Elan is thankful to be performing in a beautifully crafted comedy.
