TRACEY BARROW (Brooke) is thrilled to be making her GableStage debut in Popcorn.
Coral Gables audiences may remember her as Candy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at
Actors Playhouse this spring. Favorite roles include Angela in Enter Laughing directed
by Joseph Adler, Louise in Prom Queens Unchained, Poopsie in The Pajama Game,
Fermina in Man of La Mancha and the never to be forgotten Natalie in Natalie Needs
a Nightie. Special thanks to Mom, Dad, Sam, Stanley, Dave, Carl, and of course, Joanie.
KEN CLEMENT (Karl) is pleased to again be at GableStage where he previously had roles in
Compleat History of America Abridged and Killer Joe. A South Florida native, Ken
studied acting with Barbara Lowery at MDCC-North. In 1987, he relocated to LA where he received his
B.A. in Theatre from California Institute of the Arts Theater Conservatory. Ken worked for 7 seasons at
the Hillside Repertory Company. LA stage credits include MacDuff in Macbeth at Dramatic New
Arts Theater, Shakespeare in Dammit Shakespeare at the Globe, and PooBah in Mikado
at Avalon Theater. He also had several of his original plays produced, including
Rhinohead and Condorguy. Ken is certified by the Society of American Fight Directors,
and has choreographed stage violence in several films and over 40 plays across te country. His Florida
credits include Sleepwalkers (Carbonell winner) at Area Stage and One Flew Over
the Cuckoo's Nest at Actors Playhouse. He also appeared in the entire season of the Actors Playhouse
award winning Children's Theater. Ken is happy to be working again with Joe Adler, and can't say enough
about this wonderful cast.
SANDRA IVES (Farah) is happy to be returning to GableStage. She was most recently seen at Actors
Playhouse in their production of Communicating Doors, and this season's Closer
at GableStage. Sandra relocated here from New York City, and now resides in Ft. Lauderdale with her 3-
year old son, Zachary and her husband, Randy. Some of her theater credits include Sarah Brown in
Guys and Dolls, Meg Magrath in Crimes of the Heart, Masha in The Three Sisters,
Agnes in I Do, I Do, Maria in The Sound of Music, Prudie Cupp in
Pump Boys and Dinettes, Sister Amnesia in Nunsense, as well as her favorite role to
date as Marian in the national tour of The Music Man. Sandra would like to thank her husband
for believing in and supporting this dream.
KENDRA KASUBA (Kirsten) is pleased to be making her debut at GableStage, where audiences know
her as the Box Office Manager. A Fine Arts major at MDCC-South, she has taken acting classes since
elementary school. Kendra has appeared locally with Killian Players as Beatrice in A View From
the Bridge and in the dual roles of Cookie Gibbs/Valerie in Times Square Angel at
Florida Playwrights Theater. Kendra is grateful for the opportunity to be directed by Joseph Adler, and
to work with the amazing people at GableStage. She would like to thank her mother, Barbara, for supporting
her starving artist ways.
JENNIFER LEHR (Velvet) is a recent graduate of New World School of the Arts College and the
University of Florida. Popcorn is Jennifer's professional debut, and she is thrilled to
be performing at GableStage. Some of her past roles include Anya in The Cherry Orchard,
Nellie-Nora in Eclipsed, Lucentio in The Taming of the Shrew, Scout in
To Kill a Mockingbird, the old woman and the little girl in The Vagina Monologues,
and Kafka in Words Words Words. Jennifer's original one person show, Quiet on the
Set, will soon be broadcast on the internet. She is honored to be a part of this awesome play
and thanks the cast, crew and Joe Adler for this opportunity. Break a leg!
BOB ROGERSON (Bruce) has lived 20 years in the Cape Cod area, 20 years in New York City and
recently, 3 years in South Florida (with a couple of "gypsy years" thrown into the mix). During the
time, Bob performed in more than 80 stage productions, over two dozen national TV commercials, several
feature films, and a handful of TV shows (mostly designed for children). Favorite New York credits include
Hickey in The Iceman Cometh (1995), William Hogarth in The Art of Success, all
the male (and several of the female) roles in Forbidden Broadway, Torvald in A Doll
House, Bluntschli in Arms and the Man, Don Adrano de Armado in Love's Labour's
Lost, Major Jack Gurney in Nebraska and Butley in Butley. Regionally,
Bob has appeared as Tom Sergeant in GableStage's Florida premiere of Skylight (Carbonell
nomination for Best Actor), Benedict in the world premiere of Benedict Arnold by William
Mastrosimone (FL), Adrian in the Florida premiere of Private Eyes by Steven Dietz, Steve in
Heartbeats (FL), John in The Cocktail Hour (MA), James in That Champion
Season (AL), Sgt. Toomey in Biloxi Blues (CT) and Larry in Closer at
GableStage.
PAUL TEI (Wayne) is very happy to be working again with Joe and to be back at GableStage where
he was last seen in Closer. Other South Florida credits include Never the Sinner
(New Theatre), Tek-No-Lear (New World Rep), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Actors
Playhouse), Oleanna, Speed-the-Plow, Raised in Captivity, Passage, Beirut, Voir Dire, Careless
Love, The Caretaker, Baby with the Bathwater, True West (Area Stage), Hard Hats (3rd
Street Black Box), Endgame (Akropolis), and Summer Shorts #1 (City Theater).
Paul holds an MFA in Directing from The Theatre School at DePaul University and a BA in Theatre from
Barry University. He currently teaches at New World School of the Arts, where he had the pleasure of
teaching Jenn Lehr, whom he now gets to terrorize. Paul was co-producing artistic director of Juggerknot
Theatre Company, where he directed several pieces, including Sam Sheppard's Action. He is
currently preparing a new company that should pop us sometime soon.
CLAIRE TYLER (Scout) is very pleased to be back at GableStage where she was last seen as Rowena
in Arms and the Man. While she was pursuing a BFA in acting from F.I.U., Claire appeared in
several roles, including Eliza in Pygmalion, Shirley in The Fourth of July, the
Woman in Let Us Go Out Into the Starry Night, and as Estelle in No Exit. Claire
has also performed the role of Portia in The Merchant of Venice in Bedgeburry, Upper Kent,
England.
MICHAEL VINES (Bill) is thrilled to be making his GableStage debut in Popcorn.
Originally from Arkansas, Michael is a recent addition to the Miami theatre scene, and is enjoying every
minute of it. He recently appeared as Shooter in Juggerknot's production of Action (directed
by Paul Tei) and is currently teaching at the Children's Theatre and Youth One Act Camps at Actors
Playhouse. He was recently seen on stage there as Sir Simon in The Princess and the Pea. Much
love goes out to Patience, his main reason for being here.
