In addition to receiving tickets to all five productions, a nominated partner high-school – with serious theatre students – will have season-long access to GableStage artists and company members.

In advance of attending the production, students and teachers receive the scripts for the season and interactive study guides for each production. They are then visited by a teaching artist and a member of the creative team for a private workshop.

After each production, students will engage in a private Q & A with cast and crew in the theatre. Creative Team members will then re-visit the school to conduct active workshops using text and themes from the play.

This season, we are delighted to welcome Coral Reef Senior High as our designated partner school.

Coral Reef Senior High School

PARTNER SCHOOL

Coral Reef Senior High School, Miami’s Mega-Magnet, opened its doors in 1997 with the mission to create a community of learners who embrace their diversity. A variety of curricular offerings, theme-based academies and extracurricular activities provide students with meaningful, well-rounded educational experiences. The Visual & Performing Arts Academies allows the involvement in the arts associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skill. The school understands that arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork. The Theatre Magnet Strand leads students to learn acting, directing, designing, and writing skills to create formal and informal theatre, film/videos and perform in them.
